Margie Calvert is a registered nurse who is avidly interested in computers. She has studied computer programming and graphics, and has a degree in Computer Information Systems from Cabrillo College. She has worked with her husband, Charlie Calvert, on several projects. Margie enjoys constructing web sites, and has designed the entry pages to this site. Margie continues to work as a psychiatric nurse. Her focus for many years has been on crisis intervention. In addition to her B.S. in nursing, she holds a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She is Board Certified as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse by the American Nurses Association. Margie has also earned an MA in English from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from San Jose State. She enjoys learning, and usually is enrolled in at least one college level course. Other interests in her life include daily meditation practice, long-distance walking, hiking, bicycling and spending time with her husband and her cat Valentine. Buddhist theories of meditation and right living have become very important to her, and have deepened her Christian beliefs. She enjoys attending the jazz services at a local Christian church. |
