Margie's Home Page
Margie Calvert is a registered nurse and writer who lives with her husband, Charlie, in Bellevue, Washington. She has a strong interest in computers, and sometimes assists her husband in his projects. She likes to spend time with her husband and with friends, and to read, hike, cook, travel and take photographs.
Margie has an MA in English from the University of Michigan and a BS in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. She eventually also earned a certificate in drug and alcohol counseling, an AA degree in computer information systems, and an MBA.
Margie's long experience as a psychiatric nurse has made her attuned to the problems of the mentally ill, the homeless, the addicted and the imprisoned. She continues to work in psychiatric nursing, and does volunteer work at a prison.
She successfully participated in NaNoWriMo two years ago. She is currently learning about mobile computing and upgrading her Web skills.
